Every Thursday evening (from 18.07 – 29.08.2024), take advantage of these long summer evenings to visit the Konschthal.

Discover the second edition of the Groovy Thursdays, that will take place every Thursday evening from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm during the summer. As an after-work or to kickstart your evening, this nocturnal event is an opportunity to stroll through our exhibitions and enjoy a dedicated cultural program: guided tours, project presentations, workshops mixing disciplines and genres are being served.

The Konschthal Groovy Thursdays are also the ideal place for a relaxing moment with snacks and drinks.

Last but not least, in collaboration with Radio 100komma7, Konschthal invites several Luxembourgish artists to curate and create a personal playlist for each evening. Come discover the surprising and eclectic sounds presented by these local artists.

Here, it's all about the art of relaxation.

The programme

  • 5pm - 9pm: APERO WORKSHOP – Risographic worlds by Isabelle Mattern

Around the exhibition TEKTONIK by Titus Schade

Explore and create scenographic places, textures and graphics inspired by Titus Schade through risograph printing. With the help of the Riso duplicator and colourful soy-based ink, we construct alternative realities layer by layer. Buildings, objects, posters, letters - through the combination of different black and white techniques, shapes, drawings, collages and textures are combined collaboratively and collectively. During the evening, you are welcome to join in to create your own posters, sets and stories with the risoprinter.

All materials are provided by the Konschthal.

Walk-in | Free of charge | Subject to availability | No booking required.

Age: for adults and teenagers (children accompanied by an adult are welcome)

  • 7pm - 8:00 pm: From another perspective - with Luc Spada (writer, performer, moderator, curator)

Times may seem dark, especially when windmills come into play. But it is precisely when chances threaten to collapse and the sky seems to be falling on your head that a well-known poet takes the stage: Luc Spada, 39 years old, a little Luxembourgish, a little Italian, a little German. And a little newcomer should never be missing. He will take you by the hand and explain to you why hope is the only true strength. Despite wars, intrigues, and the many devils lurking on the walls. And why it is perfectly normal to have to google or duckduckgo words like "TEKTONIK".

  • 7pm - 9pm: Playlist by Sarah Schleich in collaboration with Radio 100komma7: Enter the summer void

Identity is a delicate construct, susceptible to change through both childhood and adulthood. Sarah Schleich is captivated by this aspect of identity development. In her research, she explores the potential of change and transformation as a catalyst for personal growth and character development. Through her work, she challenges us to consider the extent to which we should embrace or regulate external influences, whether through objects or individuals, and to question societal norms and behaviors that may be limiting or stereotypical.

Snacks and small bites by GLOW on site. The bar is open throughout the evening.
